A Packly subscription plan is a digital service, separate from the purchase of printed packaging. By activating a plan, you can use the design platform, that is, download dielines and upload your artwork to generate the 3D preview of your packaging, without having to place a print order.
In practice, your subscription gives you a set number of dielines and 3D mockups per month or per year, to use for designing, checking and sharing your packaging.
When you register with Packly, the free Basic plan is assigned automatically: it includes 3 dieline downloads and 3 uploads with 3D preview generation per month, ready to use straight away without placing any order.
How it works
Each plan includes a number of download credits (dielines) and upload credits with 3D preview generation (3D mockups), renewed monthly or annually depending on the plan you choose.
The 3D mockup you generate can be shared via a dedicated link (3D ShareLink), so you can show it to colleagues or customers without sending the native files.
Available plans
- Basic, free: 3 dielines per month, 3 3D mockups per month. Includes 3D Repair, 3D ShareLink, standard support.
- Light+, €37 per month: 15 dielines per month, 15 3D mockups per month. Includes 3D Repair, 3D ShareLink, Studio Mode (beta), advanced support.
- Pro+, €379 per year: 250 dielines per year, 250 3D mockups per year. Includes 3D Repair, password-protected 3D ShareLink, Studio Mode (beta), premium support.
- Custom, on request (custom quote): unlimited dielines and 3D mockups per month. Includes 3D ShareLink customisable with your logo and an alternative domain, Studio Mode (beta), dedicated support.
What happens if your credits run out or are left over
If you run out of the dielines or 3D mockups included in your plan, you can upgrade to a higher plan at any time to keep designing.
Credits not used by the end of the subscription period (month or year) do not roll over: at renewal, they reset and you start again with the allowance set by the new period.
Do I need a subscription to print my packaging?
No. Subscription plans only cover the design phase, that is, everything you can do before purchasing your packaging: downloading the dieline and generating the 3D preview. No paid subscription plan is required to purchase printed products, not even the Basic plan, which is free and assigned automatically to every registered user.
If you purchase a printed product, the dieline and 3D mockup for that order remain available in your reserved area, without using up the credits of any plan.
This applies even if you have used up the downloads and uploads included in your plan: you can still purchase the product you want to make, and once the order is complete, you can continue to download the dieline and generate the 3D mockup for that product, without this using up the credits of your subscription plan.
