From 12 August 2026, a large number of provisions of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 — also known as the PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) — on packaging and packaging waste will become applicable. Our production and organisational model is already built on principles consistent with the Regulation.
Packaging designed to be compliant from the outset
We produce 100% paper-based packaging in formats tailored to the characteristics of each product. Our processes cover material checks, the traceability of technical information and the management of the documentation relating to the packaging we produce. We assess compliance by considering the specific characteristics and the composition of each packaging item.
Responsibilities across the supply chain
The PPWR assigns different obligations to the various economic operators involved. Responsibilities may apply to the company that produces the packaging, but also to the company that buys it, fills it, applies its own brand to it and/or places the packed product on the market. Compliance therefore requires the correct management of information and documentation across the entire supply chain, according to the role played by each party.
A phased application
Some PPWR provisions will become applicable on 12 August 2026, while other requirements will come into force over the coming years. We will continue to monitor how the regulatory framework evolves and any future European provisions. For more on deadlines, requirements and the main changes, read our article on the PPWR.
